Committee Recommendations and Assessment are summarized at the end of Eric’s thoughts about a Steering Committee for Unite IE

1.       Good afternoon,

Here are some of my thoughts with regard to the Steering Committee. My idea is to stay pretty simple to begin with. Among other things, we will need to develop a mission statement and objective, and create an organization with purposeful meetings that will be governed by a procedures and operations manual with codes of conduct. I'd like to discuss the idea of a limited core voting membership, with meetings being open to select groups/group leaders. I know this does not cover everything but I wanted to organize my notes and get the email conversation started.

UniteIE:

Mission Statement: Example; To unite and equip community and civic leaders who intend to restore the American Constitutional Republic and planning .

Objective: The purpose of UniteIE is to bring organization leaders together to assist and support each others efforts in the various different areas of focus (ie, voter integrity, health, education, etc.).

Meetings: 1.5 hours

Example;

-Prayer

-Pledge

-Constitution reading

-Introductions (5 seconds each, name and group represented only)

-Introduce 3-5 agenda items (10 Minutes)

-Q & A/Agenda item discussion (45 Minutes)

-Introduce new items of concern for next meetings agenda (10-15 minutes)

-Action plan

-Close

*Agendas will be strictly adhered to. No more than 2 members from each organization in attendance

Candidate Endorsement: UniteIE shall create a strict standard by which candidates will be vetted for endorsement (ie, values life in the womb, anti-crt, etc.), and all endorsements must carry a 2/3 majority by voting members.

Voting: Voting will generally be reserved for voting members only. All votes must carry a 2/3 majority to pass

Liasons/Representatives: Ron just left me a message regarding a committee or person in charge of communication with current elected representatives. My hope is that there is a group that already focuses on that and we can bring them to UniteIE as a member group.

Community outreach: Most community outreach will be orchestrated by the different, individual organizations, or a collaboration of efforts, which the remainder should try and support when possible. Otherwise, UniteIE should conduct 2-4 large events throughout the year. These will include the cooperation of all voting members in plannig and participation.

That's it for now. I am looking forward to your ideas

Eric

Committee Recommendations and Assessment of Eric’s thoughts Unite IE Steering Committee.

1.      Mission statement, objectives and meeting format suggested are very similar to what is already in place for Unite IE.  No changes are recommended.

2.      Candidate endorsements by Unite IE as a body opposes the purpose of Unite IE.  Individual groups prefer autonomy in making candidate endorsements.  Attempt to unify and create a Unite IE voter’s guide will most likely cause descension and groups will withdraw as members of Unite IE.  Alternative action could be to provide a summary of Unite IE endorsements.  List each candidate and follow with info on which groups endorse and which ones do not endorse that candidate.  Share this information with all Unite IE groups.

3.      Agree that the purpose for Unite IE leaders is to support and assist each other in their various areas of focus.  Also agree with the stated purpose that Unite IE groups work together to unite and equip the community and civic leaders who intend to restore the American constitutional republic.

4.      Community Outreach and Events should be continued and participation by all Unite IE groups encouraged. Minimum of two events per year suggested.
